Take a stitch 2018

I am a big fan of Sharon Boggon who write the Pintangle blog which deals with all things crazy quilting and other embroidery too. I used information gleaned from her sumptuous surface course to make my Sumptuous Zebra piece a while ago.

Sharon publishes a weekly challenge called Take a Stitch Tuesday (TAST) where she shows a different stitch each week. I tried to follow it before but didn't manage to keep up, however this year she has started it from week one again and so far I've kept pace. This is my work so far after eight weeks.

I bought a man's thick cotton shirt from a charity shop and my plan is to add a new stitch each week. So far I've done the first eight stitches which are running, blanket, fly, detached chain, herringbone chain and feather. This is not the best picture in the world and at some stage I'll include some close ups but this is it for now.
